One platform for Pakistani retail, priced in rupees

Sell online, over the counter and for pickup from one catalog, priced in PKR rather than in a currency your customers have to convert in their heads.

MyShopie point of sale and online store running together for a retailer in Pakistan

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) · provincial revenue authorities

What Pakistani law asks of you

Pakistan is the strictest of our markets on the mechanics of an invoice. Sales tax on goods is federal and administered by the FBR, while sales tax on services is provincial — Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan each have their own authority, their own registration and their own rate.

Tier-1 retailers must integrate their POS with the FBR

A retailer who falls in the Tier-1 definition — chain outlets, outlets in large shopping malls, and retailers above certain size, utility-bill or turnover thresholds — must integrate each point of sale with the FBR’s real-time invoicing system.

Every invoice carries an FBR number and a verifiable QR code

Integrated outlets issue invoices bearing an FBR invoice number and a QR code the customer can verify themselves against the FBR’s records. An invoice the customer cannot verify is the exact thing the regime was built to detect.

Non-integration is penalised directly

Failure to integrate carries penalties and the loss of a portion of input tax credit, so for a Tier-1 retailer this is not an administrative formality with a soft deadline.

Federal goods, provincial services

If you sell both goods and services you may be registered federally and provincially at once, reporting to more than one authority on different cycles.

Current to our reading in 2026 and provided for orientation only — not tax or legal advice. Pakistan’s invoicing rules and the Tier-1 definition have been amended repeatedly; confirm your own position with the FBR, your provincial authority or your tax adviser.

What MyShopie gives you today

This is the market where being precise matters most, so read the second half of this section before the first.

  • Priced and invoiced in rupees Currency and timezone are set per store, so a Karachi or Lahore store quotes, charges and invoices in PKR on Pakistani trading days.
  • An invoice for every paid order A PDF invoice is generated automatically when an order is paid, from an invoice template you control as HTML — your layout, your fields, your wording.
  • A record of who did what Every order carries a timestamped event trail. In-store handovers record the operator, the location and the device, and the POS logs every price override, every void and every cash movement in or out of the drawer.
  • One catalog across online and in-store Multi-location inventory with per-location stock, transfers between locations, and stocktakes with their own audit trail — so the figures you report come from one set of books, not two.
  • Numbers you can hand to an accountant An analytics dashboard over orders, revenue, top products and customers, so the month you are reporting is a query and not a reconstruction.

Talk to us about your setup

Tell us whether you are Tier-1, which provinces you sell services in, and how many outlets you run. If MyShopie cannot meet your obligation today we will say so on the first call, and we would rather lose the sale than have you discover it at an audit.
